Privacy Policy

Last updated: June 10, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how PastPort Classroom (“we”, “us”) handles information when you use our website and online curriculum access (including pastportclass.com and related homeschool access pages).

We are not lawyers. This policy is written in plain language for educators and families. Purchases are made through Teachers Pay Teachers (TPT); TPT has its own privacy terms for checkout.

1. Who we are

PastPort Classroom is operated by the seller of the product on Teachers Pay Teachers. For privacy requests, contact us through your TPT purchase message thread or email privacy@pastportclass.com.

2. What we do not collect

  • We do not require student accounts, student names, or student emails to use the interactives.
  • We do not sell personal data.
  • We do not use student data for advertising profiles.

3. What is stored in your browser (essential)

To make passcode access work, the site stores unlock state on your device using:

  • localStorage — remembers which lessons, ebooks, or teacher materials you unlocked with a valid passcode (e.g. pastport_unlocked_simulations).
  • One functional cookie — pastport_unlocked_ebooks — allows protected ebook audio/images to load through our media gateway after you unlock content.
  • Progress memory — optional completion flags (e.g. finished lessons) may be saved locally for your convenience.

These are strictly necessary for the digital product you requested. They stay on your browser until you clear site data.

4. Optional analytics

We may offer optional analytics (e.g. Google Analytics) to understand general traffic and which pages are used. Analytics is off by default until you accept it in our cookie banner. If enabled, the analytics provider may process anonymized usage data under their own terms.

5. Third-party services

Some features load resources from trusted providers. These may process technical data (such as IP address) to deliver the service:

  • Cloudflare — hosting and security
  • Google Fonts — typography
  • Font Awesome (CDN) — icons on the main portal
  • YouTube — embedded introduction videos inside lessons (subject to Google/YouTube policies)
  • Cloudflare R2 / ebook CDN — delivery of ebook images and audio after authorization

6. Children & schools

This product is designed for grades 6–8 under adult supervision (teacher or parent). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children through forms on this site. Schools and homeschool parents control passcode distribution.

7. Your rights (EEA / UK / similar laws)

If GDPR or similar laws apply to you, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete personal data we hold about you. Because we store most access data only in your browser, you can clear it anytime via browser settings (“Clear site data” / cookies and site storage). Contact us for other requests.

8. International users

Our service may be used by educators in the United States and other countries. By using the site, you understand that technical data may be processed where our hosting providers operate.

9. Changes

We may update this policy. The “Last updated” date at the top will change when we do.
